The Concept

We were very happy to be entrusted with creating the very first kids' club at the Columbus Monte Carlo hotel
The Planning

Planning such a concept takes a lot of time and many discussions took place between us and the hotel’s marketing team. The idea was to offer a very fun kids' club during the summer months, a place where children would have fun, play, eat, and it would be the time when parents could relax!
The key element was to create a kids' club that wasn’t filled with plastic toys, to create a much more aesthetic play space for children that matched the Columbus environment - the beautiful sea! A large hotel suite was to be transformed into this space and a balcony turned into an outdoor play area... completed with beach toys to reinforce the seaside theme. Les Petits only offers premium sustainable brands and also provides interior decoration services, so the combination was perfect!
The main backdrop of the space is a stunning Munks & Me Under the Sea mural. Since we couldn’t wallpaper the entire room, we had to get creative.
All the toys and decoration were chosen based on the colors of the mural - very fresh navy blue tones, aquamarine, and turquoise were mixed with splashes of sand and, of course, some sparkling accessories.
Once the key elements were chosen, the fun began with the toys and decoration.
The Installation

The room installation took place a few weeks before the launch of the kids' club.
First, there was the under the sea mural. Munks & Me murals come in panels, labeled A-E, which makes hanging and setting up much easier.
Once they were installed, we were able to set up the Toddlekind play mat. It comes in squares and is modular, which means you can add or remove pieces as much as you want to create a play mat that fits your space perfectly!
Next comes the Kid's Concept Tipi Tent, then the sea-themed plush toys from
Meri Meri. Who wouldn’t love to see Cosmo the Giant Octopus hiding in his tipi tent or Louie the Turtle playing on his Wobbel board?
Play Zones

The key to fun and constructive play for children is to create dedicated "play zones" in a playroom.
As part of the kids club, we created distinct zones: an Active Play area, with a Ball Pit, a Rocking Horse, and a Wobbel Balance Board.
We then created a reading and relaxation area, ideal for children who want to unwind.
A role-play area with the Kid's Concept Wooden Kitchen, Miniland Educational Dolls, and the Kid's Concept Pram.
Outdoor area

We didn’t miss a nod to the Monte-Carlo Grand Prix by including the Way to Play Toys Flexible Grand Prix Race Track. Candylab cars - wooden cars with a vintage Americana kitsch style - are perfect for racing on the track.
Since it was summer and the theme was the sea, we had to create a beach area on the outdoor balcony. It’s amazing how much a small space can be transformed by adding fake grass and decorative seaweed.
Liewood beach toys created the perfect atmosphere, with the Blue Striped Inflatable Pool filled with sand - essential for building sandcastles with the Liewood Sea Creature Beach Set. You will also find beach games, including the Ring Toss Game and the Wooden Mini Golf Set.
Costumes

No playroom or kids club is complete without a Dress-Up area!
Do you want to become a superhero for the day with the Meri Meri Superhero Set or would you rather swim under the sea with the Mermaid Costume or the Meri Meri Shark Costume?
Wings, more like fairy wings or dragon wings? They are perfect for children who want to transform quickly. We love the Dragon Wings from Fabelab and the Glitter Fairy Wings from Mimi & Lula.
